Shelley Fontanella is a Licensed Professional Counselor and an approved LPC supervisor with the Virginia Board of Counseling.  She has been in practice at the Renascence Center for more than 13 years and conducts therapy with individuals and groups.  She specializes in adolescents and early adulthood and has experience working with a variety of issues, including depression, relationship issues, body image and grief.

As the counselor, I see my job as helping you to problem solve difficult areas of your life and facilitate self investigation into your past and current behaviors and thoughts with the end goal of bringing you greater fulfillment.

I enjoy working with adolescents, adults, families, and couples. I believe that people can achieve their personal goals with small, gradual changes. I have experience working with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, body image issues, grief, and more. I am also comfortable with and enjoy integrating faith into counseling.”
