Leisa S. Shultz, MA
Individual & Marital Therapy
Image Consulting, Crisis Debriefing

I have a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Dickinson College. I have counseled clients with regard to: mood, anxiety, and eating disorders; marital and family issues; relational problems; sexual and physical abuse; identity issues; and spiritual matters. The last ten years have been spent at The Fourth Presbyterian Church counseling center working with very diverse groups of people from many different countries, cultural backgrounds, and spiritual perspectives. In addition, I have also worked privately as an Image Consultant since 1992, conferring with clients, from many states from other countries in Europe and Asia, on matters including self-esteem, time management issues, and problem-solving strategies. Having received training in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing, I have been involved with crisis debriefings through a private provider network, with individuals and with group work regarding the September 11 attack on America.

I consider my clients in a holistic manner and sets goals collaboratively. I address the development of mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, and social dimensions, while working on the reduction of symptomatic behaviors, and providing coping strategies to enhance the quality of the client’s life.
I have been happily married for 21 years and have three children. I have held many leadership roles in the past several decades in church and school settings, and I have been involved in community service. I am a charter member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and participate in training seminars annually on a variety of psychological issues.

Current topics I have presented in workshops and seminars include Cultivating closeness, The Key to Intimacy and The prevention of conflict, The Path to Forgiveness, and The building Blocks for Personal and Marital Satisfaction..
